Die Swiss Ice Trophy dient der Bewegungsförderung und der Volksgesundheit, sowie der Entwicklung des Hobbysports für Erwachsene in Eiskunstlauf und Eistanz. Damit wird HobbysportlerInnen die Möglichkeit gegeben, ihr Leistungsvermögen (Eislauf, Eiskunstlauf und Eistanz) unter Wettkampfbedingungen zu präsentieren.
Das Ziel des Weltrekords «Pirouettissima» ist es, möglichst viele Eislaufbegeisterte gemeinsam aufs Eis zu bringen. Die EiskunstläuferInnen und Eiskunstläufer sollen gemeinsam eine Pirouette drehen.

The Swiss Ice Trophy intends to encourage for physical activities and health as well as developing recreational figure skating and ice dancing for adults. It is meant offer to adult skaters the possibility to present their capacities (figure skating, ice dancing) under the conditions of a competition.
The goal of the world record attempt «Pirouettissima» is to get as many skating enthusiasts possible on the ice. All skater shall perform a synchronised spin.
